Thursday, June 19, 2003 Relating to the post below.. Found on a journal (April 27th posting) that I enjoy for it's cynical nature, though sometimes a little too extreme for even me. Haha. And I thought *I* was cynical. I'm cynical is what it is, not hateful, and I fear there may be more 'hate' associated with this journal than 'cynicism' (and I am truly sorry if she reads this and hates me for it) " 'Religion can never satisfy God. Religion is man's attempt to make himself right with god, but any such attempt is futile because even man's best effors are flawed and so are unnacceptable to . The Bible could not be clearer: all our righteous acts are like filthy rags. God demands perfection; religion fails to meet the demand.' I am not sure of the source of this quote. It really explains a lot about what i feel. The christian church is so hypocritical. ' See. "so hypocritical" seems a little too strong of an accusation to me, but this is still insight into my opinion as well. . . . babbled Lin |
