What I was able to type

(as quickly as possible) from Michael Moore's speech behind-the-stage after receiving his award..

"What's great about this country is that you can speak your mind.. and I don't stop doing that when I walk through the doors.. and all Americans have a right to stand up for what they believe in.. and it would be irresponsible for me to not say what I felt.. and anyone getting this award knew who they wanted to thank (name them).. that's just who I am.. an honest and sincere person.. I feel strongly about what I believe in.. and I love the art in cinema.. and the first thing I think of is what I would want to go to see in a theatre tonight.. (more about his film).. I'm honored to receive this award.. (more about his pre-planned idea to speak his mind against the war, and his invitation to his fellow-nominees to go with him on stage).. it's important.. we need to reclaim our country.. I love my country.. we need to reclaim democracy..."

Brilliant. Good for him.. good for him..

And.. I mistakingly misinterpreted the joke by the host.. below.. it wasn't as bad as I thought it was... I misinterpreted the joke.
