Thursday, June 20, 2002 scary.. and it made the front 'headline' image/story on aol's 'welcome' window.. (read about it here if on aol) it's not too close to where I live, but it's still scary to see all of these fires in my state. There was another one recently in Prescott (right next to where a friend of mine lives), but this current one is apparently huge and very 'angry'. We have a major water-shortage right now. It's illegal to even wash our cars without going to a car wash. ... A lot of trees in my area are dying... I can't imagine what it will be like next year if we go through a similar draught.. it would be disastrous. Practically all of the camping areas are shut down currently. Heh, fires are being started on the side of the highway by a simply chain dragging and causing a spark. It's pretty scary, and scarier to think that where I live is a very-potential area for a huge fire. Our city is literally surrounded and located among/in the forest area. ..we need rain.. I've seen store signs which say "think rain".. and my church makes it a point to pray for rain... for our safety, the animals, all of the wildlife .. ... it's pretty bad right now. . . . babbled Lin |
