Thursday, June 06, 2002 "5,000+ people?" And I get to speak to them all at my graduation tomorrow. Heh. That's how many people are expected to show, and I'm getting a little scared.. mainly after looking at other speeches other people have wrote ("Remember when.." ... "Intro.." .. "School officials..") and seeing how their speeches had been typed and printed in nearly 24-pt. type, line spacing, and highlighting so that they wouldn't lose their positions when reading. And I'm realizing... my speech is two pages long (not nearly as short as the others)... and none of it is spaced out, all in 12-pt. type... and maybe I'll freak-out bad and completely lose my spot when reading because I don't have green highlighter markings to save me. And I can't find the disk.. or any file, for that matter, on which this honor speech can be edited. ... I still like that one guy's idea.. who walked by the hall where I was nonchalantly waiting to go in for my audition to do the honor speech.. and he said.. "start a riot.." ... hehe, the power of words. And my name is spelled wrong on every pamphlet to those 5,000+ people which announces that I'm reading the honor speech. .. I wonder if my name is spelled wrong on the second part of the pamphlet listing the graduates.. my name having a star by it for being ranked first in my class, but I guess checking the spelling of names for a graduation ceremony isn't THAT important. heh. anyway... off to clean my room for all of the guests coming by tomorrow who I'm sure will be oh-so-interested in seeing my room (but I know that all they truly want to get at is the food.. so why bother? parents.. I swear sometimes.) . . . babbled Lin |
