Friday, June 28, 2002 1 p.m. ..about 10 minutes following, it's kind of funny (being the "greeter"), and watching everyone walk in late as they rush to their different offices. For some reason they feel the need to comment to me about their being late - I'm sure to lessen their conscience, and I don't mind, because.. well I'm the queen of being late (lately). Today I managed to be on time, 2 minutes after "on time", but it still counts in my book. :) The most common excuse is: "That traffic! Whew!" (how many times are we allowed to use that one?) .. or they'll just walk in, look at the clock behind me, and exclaim.. "Oh damn!" And then there are those who walk in 30 minutes late.. and simply hush in as quietly as they can pretending like no one (me) has noticed them. . . . babbled Lin |
