Wednesday, April 24, 2002 uplifting my spirit in a particularly special class that I have this semester, we passed around a paper with our name on it and everyone in the class writes a short comment about you as it comes around to them.. here are the comments written to me: *names taken out for privacy... grammar and everything as written on the paper to me left intact and un-edited :) "I admire your determination, only wish I could be more like you. Way not to settle for anything less but the best." "I like how smart your are and I hope that you become something important so I can say I know you." "I love that you can be goofy one minute and serious the next moment. Your the type of girl I can look up to." "You have to be one of the smartest people I have ever met and I think it is so great how you can be serious when you need to & goofy when you want to! I wish we could have talked a little more." "You are one of the nicest people I have ever met. You are so caring and you will be missed next year." "You have such an awesome smile. I wish I could have as many good qualities as you. Girl you have so much going for you and you totally deserve it! We'll miss ya a lot." "You're such a great girl! You're nice, you're fun, and you're smart! I've gotten to know you really well, and it makes me happy! I'm glad we have group together, it's a lot of fun!" "There's a lot to say about you. But right now I just want to tell you thank you. Getting to know you has been a great experience. Best of luck to you next year. And I'm looking forward to see what you'll make of your life." "I am so blown away by your intelligence and strength. You are such a kind and caring person. I hope that you do all that you want and more in college. Best of luck!" "Go Smart Girl, Go Smart Girl. You are so focused. You are destined for great." "Hey.. thanks for making me laugh from your lack of common sense!! Congrats on getting into Pepperdine!" "Thank you for all of your help with everything throughout the years. I admire you and your incredible determination. Way to go! Best of luck w/ Pepperdine next year!" "You know I think you're great & I love your respect for others, try to just keep things light and not so serious! Luv ya lots just the way you are!" "I have known you for so long I don't even know what to tell you. I appreciate and value our friendship and I know it will last." "I can't wait until I see you at our reunions. You are going to be so successful. Have fun at Pepperdine!" "Your perserverance & dedication to success are amazing! I love your open mind & complete willingness to listen to everyone with a 'blank slate' attitude. You are probably the most unbiased person I have ever known! You will have a blast at Pepperdine!" And theeeere they are. lol, hm, some recurring themes in things people say I suppose. But I value all of the nice things written, heh, any insight I can get from people about my character I take personally.. see what I can work on, etc... it's encouraging and funny to see what some people wrote. ;) . . . babbled Lin |
