Sunday, March 31, 2002 "God doesn't deal with us under the basis of law, but under the basis of grace." That was the main church topic today.. I thought it was really interesting, and put an aspect to things I hadn't examined so well before. heh, this blog entry will probably be choppy/sloppy (as if the others weren't already) because I'm feeling horribly sick (from allergies I think). This year's Easter (my last at home) was probably one of the best since a long time. I just really enjoyed the things which happened and the order in which they happened. ;) First was church, important message (I actually jotted down a few notes.. which I never really do in church) I wrote down these things in my notes.. I'm not sure what they are exactly because I haven't looked them up, but I'm sure I wrote them down because they were important things I wanted to remember: The quotation at the top Romans 7: 4-6 1st Corinthians 15: 22,23, 49-57, 58 After the church service my family and I left to get a bite to eat at one of our favorite restaurants. After the great meal we saw the "claw" machine in the restaurant which picks up stuffed animals if you -usually- "get lucky". Heh, each try is 50 cents, and my mom and dad really wanted this gorilla... I've been known for the past at being really good at these games.. so my dad gave me 50 cents to try.. sure enough I got it.. after analzying the game a little more.. I had a brilliant idea ;) (not really) I used another 50 cents to pull - using the claw - two stuffed animals to the schute where they drop out.. hehe.. I just used the claw to push them over the edge.. which.. technically.. isn't supposed to happen. Anyway, in the end I won my family 4 big stuffed animals with $1.50. Heehee. After eating we headed home - Easter Egg Hunt! lol, I know I'm too old for this sort of thing, but it was still fun, and it IS, realistically, my last Easter egg hunt. I found the most eggs, but a lot of my eggs were - what my siblings and I called - "Dud Eggs". lol.. my mother was being stupid when stuffing the eggs and put some crap cheezits in a couple of the eggs.. which I promptly gave away for free during our "trading session" of candy after analyzing the eggs we found and what was in them. Other eggs had some pretty gross shmore chocolate things in them which kind of melted in the eggs while in the sun.. heh.. my neighbor and I decided that we could use those eggs to throw them at un-suspecting-other-neighbors of ours.. lol... but I ended up leaving that idea for him to do.. I'm not *that* mean ];) .. hee. My sister wanted to see Ice Age, which I saw yesterday, and I decided I wouldn't mind seeing it again (the day after seeing it??) so I drove my sister, brother, neighbor, and myself to the movie. I enjoyed it, but I really shouldn't have gone to see it a 2nd time.. heh.. practically falling asleep during some parts. After getting home from the movie, the woooooonderful dinner my mother had prepared was just about ready to be served.. luckily I had gone to the movie so I hadn't been tortured by the smell of the food she was preparing which she would have told me to stay away from had I been in the house and looming around the kitchen. ;) That's just about everything.. the main events at least. Everything was great besides me getting horribly sick by allergies, or whatever I have. . . . babbled Lin |
