Dear "Lin",
(yeah, sorry, only an alias/nickname ;) )

Great news! I am happy to advise you that you have been accepted for admission to Occidental's Class of 2006. Your accomplishment is truly noteworthy in this admission year. You were selected from the largest and most talented applicant pool in the College's history. In addition, you have been selected to receive the Trustee Scholarship at Occidental. A special certificate is enclosed. Congratulations!
(..etc..continues about the *wonderful* things at Occidental)
Message written from the dean at the bottom: "'Lin', yes! Come join us."

So there it is 'folks. ;) .. Time to make a decision.. I have officially heard back from every school now. I said I didn't want to attend Oxy after visiting (partially too, I think, because I didn't want to get my hopes too high because I knew how tough it was going to be to get accepted this year..) .. but now that they're offering me $28,000/yr. to attend.. heh... they definitely make me think twice.

Ironically, pretty-much the last thing I haven't heard about, and am waiting for, is Pepperdine's financial aid/scholarships notification.. heh.. Pepperdine being up there as a very-considerable 1st choice of mine.. but I'm not positive it's a 1st choice until I see their award package. ;) .. ahhh.. I have still yet to choose a college, and have yet to determine what a '1st choice' would be if I could pick.. they all have *wonderful* things about them.. which is of course why I applied all of the universities/colleges that I did.

My piano teacher is pressuring me to go to Santa Clara and take the opportunity offered to me to study with one of the best piano teachers in the U.S., Linfield has offered to cover the most award of any school yet, Oxy has a great cognitive science program that none of the other schools have, and very liberal/interesting classes, Pepperdine has the community I am looking for (Christian), but still liberal, great academics, with a whole lot of other great programs/opportunities, ASU will pay me mucho $$ to go to their university, and they're so huge a university that they offer every imaginative program/class, Cal Poly has denied me ;D , and.. Bucknell.. sent a letter saying I would be accepted, hm.. I still haven't found out about an award package from them (forgot about that), but they have an excellent media/music lab from what I observed (very far from home though)..

Lewis & Clark, NAU, and UA I'm not interested in.. not sure why I applied, but I've been accepted and lots of $$ offered.. actually, Lewis & Clark gave a measley amount, but maybe the "Dean's Scholar Scholarship" isn't all they're offering.. who knows, I don't care.. anyone reading this take my advice.. don't go to Lewis & Clark ;) j/p.. decide for yourself.. alright.. that's all.. just trying to organize my thoughts here.. figure out where I am in deciding.. and realizing I don't have a clue.
