Sunday, February 03, 2002 .. *yawn* I got in around 1 a.m. after my little outting/date (?) with that guy.. it was more like a double-date. His best friend and some other girl who attends the university came along too. However, I thought it was going to be more like an 'outting' when he called because he made it seem like we were all just going to go see some movie.. but then turns out he picks me up early and the others weren't ready to go.. so he asked if I'd like to get dinner... and theeeeen things switched on me. :/ So I said 'sure'.. but then we stopped by his house to see if his friend had called, sure-enough he had, and we went out to dinner still after picking up his friend and his friend's date/friend (?).. never did figure out what was between his best friend and this other girl.. buuut.. I'm curious to know. Anyway! heh.. so we had to catch the late-late movie because of delay on things.. so we went to dinner.. then just drove around.. then drove to the city observatory (the view looking down on the city is great, and the night sky of my city is absolutely amazing as well).. and then drove around more.. finally to the movie. Somehow at the movie I got into a 'bet' with the guy who took me. Ugh.. ::laughs slightly:: um, why do guys always make a bet with me for an actual 'date'? *shrug* maybe they find it too impossible to ask me straight-forward?.. heh.. anyway.. so if this guy sticks to doing what he says he's going to do, then he gets to take me on an actual 'special' date with just the two of us. ..er..though it's not like we don't go out together onceinawhile.. um, but I guess I always keep things as 'friendly' by attempting to pay when I can.. etc. He says he's going to start planning for our 'date' now so he has some motivation to stick to what he's said.. though I don't think the real 'reward' here is a date with me if he does what he says (though the idea is sweet), but if he sticks to what he says than he'll end up with good grades in his classes, his scholarship, and other better benefits. *shrug* .. but you have to know a little bit about him.. *grin* that's easier said than done.. he's smart, but I'm not sure he can pull it all off.. hehe, and if he did.. *just* for the idea of getting that one special date with me.. then I think I'd have to marry him. ;D j/p. that would just be the coolest thing a guy ever did for me. This would be like a .. 4 month goal.. and I think often the hardest things for someone to do are things they just need to do for themselves.. such as breaking a habit (ex: procrastinating..smoking..) or gaining more confidence, self-esteem.. etc.. sometimes it's easier for people to reach out and do something for others than it is for them to help themselves directly (which I'm probably guilty of to a certain extent).. so it would be neat for him to do something he needs to do for himself with the intent to get a 'date' with me. ;) lol.. silliness. . . . babbled Lin |
