Tuesday, January 29, 2002 Hm :) .. weeell.. I hate to boast (hehe), but I had my first AP Calc. BC test today, after we started the test the teacher said:"whoever does the best on this test will get to choose the pie on friday". Apparently it's tradition in that class to do this sort of thing, heh, and I took the reg. AP Calc. class last year and I didn't really know/care what she was talking about. What I did know was that the test wasn't *really* worth any points in our overall grade.. so why slave over a test that isn't even going to be worth anything really? Anyway.. I rushed through the test.. actually left some m/c answers *blank* (usu. might as well guess because have nothing to lose, but I was rushing so fast that I forgot to go back and pick an answer..) but.. my test was the last to be graded and turns out I got the highest score on the test :) woo.. which means I did actually get to pick a pie! We'll be having French Silk pie from Village inn on friday. Mmm. Though I must say I was more pleased that I beat the girl's score who had the previous highest before mine was graded. (the girl who's crazy-competetive with me in everything.. including ranking in our class).. she sits in the class saying.. "I know I know!!.."... I swear she doesn't give anyone else an opportunity to talk. So I usually just sigh and put my head on the table or something because I can't stand listening to her, and I don't need to *prove* anything in that class.. and so I silently sit down knowing quite-well the answers to the problems the teacher is asking (but I just let Ms.I-Know have fun answering while I relax).. and then the test and wham!.. who 'yo mama?? hee. j/p about that thematic enaction there.. buuuut.. yeah. It just felt reeeeeally good to beat her on that test... especially because she's been taking Calculus for the entire year now and it's been a year and a half since I've had any calc. practice. The teacher asked.. "did you study really hard over the year??".. lol. riiiiiight.. because I have so much time/will to study that stuff. heh.. and I had forgot about the 2nd most competetive person with me because I wasn't really caring about her because I just wanted to beat the other girl and was happy with that.. but I soon realized the other girl was angry with me or something when she said to me some time after the class.. "You piss me off.. you haven't been in calc. for over a year and you do the best of all of us on the test.."... uh. hee. What can I say?.. I'm brilliant like that. *wink* j/p.... okok, so I am boasting a little bit. but I'm happy. :) . . . babbled Lin |
