Friday, July 20, 2001 ... pretty darn embarrassing today. *grin* Weeeeell.. so what happenned? Heh. Well. I was at the mall, shopping for a million birthday presents, and unfortunately most of the shopping ended up being for me - lol, really, I swear I was TRYING to find presents for other people. Anyway. One friend is pissed at me because she supposedly says she "re-scheduled her party just so I could come" ... well, I can't because I have a soccer game and then I leave directly to Phoenix to catch my plane to California. Anyway.. back to the embarrassing thing.. so.. I'm shopping around, and I pass by this one shop a couple of times hoping the guy I'm sort of interested in (but he's more just a "great friend") will see me because I know he works there 24/7.. of course I don't bother looking in there to see if he's working because.. well, the way it is with me: I act as disinterested as possible..oy. I keep going on my way, not sure if he saw me by any chance or not (I haven't seen him all summer!).. and then I'm in a shop, looking around for a present, and then I turn around and there he is right behind me... so, I kind of freaked out.. heh, I just completely didn't expect to see him.. and, I mean, he frightened me! I couldn't even say hi.. ::laughs:: but he was like.. "hey.. I saw you in here and I thought, you know I need to get her number..::teasing?::" and for some reason I couldn't remember his name for like 10 seconds, so I'm thinking to myself.. "say Hi.. Hi.. Hi what's his name???" ahhh! lol. okay. That's not even the embarrassing part!.. heh, he's eating a pretzel, and then he continutes to say "Hey, what've you been up to this summer and everything?" And finally I remember his name (he's this really good friend too, and I just FORGOT his name!).. and I say, "Hi Kyle!! ..wow.. you scared me.. I couldn't even remember your name! ::laughs::.. That's what you get for surprising me..." and then, when saying that, I tapped his arm/hand kind of playfully/still fluttered by his surprise, and I made him drop his pretzel with salt flying everywhere on the ground!! It was so embarrassing.. I'm in the middle of this nice store, talking to the guy I had hoped to see at least, and then I made him drop his pretzel! OY!.. it was just a mess! He said "Look what you made me do!! ::sort of teasing::" .. finally I was able to relax and we talked a bit... oh.. btw.. I picked up his pretzel and said "well, it hasn't been on the ground for over 10 seconds, so it's probably still ok to eat".. lol.. omg, and I gave it back to him! ::soooooooo silly:: at least he ate it still, or I would've just felt.. like the biggest idiot.. ::is most likely already the biggest idiot:: haha.. oh well.. it was good to see him and talk :) . . . babbled Lin |
